A Rusty Workhorse: 1976 Datsun 620 Pickup

The classic Japanese car market is more popular now than ever. What were once cheap economy vehicles have now increased in value steadily, and many have been the subject of extremely high-dollar restorations or custom builds.

This Datsun 620 truck is the perfect candidate for a full refurbishment. Listed here in Salinas, California for $1000, this truck retains what seems to be the original bright orange paintwork and steel wheels with hubcaps.
The truck appears to suffer from some light rust issues, but nothing that cannot be fixed. It shows many signs of wear and seems to have served its original purpose for many years. Nevertheless, its seventies charm still shines through the layers of dust.
The seller does not state whether the vehicle has been put on non-operational status, but does mention that the price is negotiable and that they need it sold as quickly as possible.

The interior of the truck seems to have been outfitted with seats from a newer vehicle, likely to add comfort and adjustability. While there is a lot of trash covering the inside, a quick hit from a shop-vac will have this truck looking good as new.

This is the perfect pickup for someone looking for a cheap basis for a high-power street build, or for the person who wants a tried-and-true workhorse for use around their property. No matter what, it will need a bit of a touch-up, but for $1000, you can't go wrong with this desirable Datsun.
